Tour de Suisse Women Stage 4 Preview

SD Worx let the breakaway go clear for the win today, will it happen again tomorrow?

Stage 4 profile from procyclingstats.com

Lumpy the whole way, but none of the climbs look super selective. I expect SD Worx to make a selection on the cat 2 climb with about 45 km to set things up for...

Contenders

MISCHA BREDEWOLD -- This stage doesn't look selective enough for Vollering to drill it on the the last categorized climb, so I think they will look to set things up for the European road champion. I don't really see any other 'pure' sprinters remaining in the field, and she'll have Vollering doing lead-out, so it seems as good a pick as any.

FEM VAN EMPEL -- Without a professional road win on the CV to date, this could be the day. The climbs shouldn't pose too much trouble, and the cyclocross world champion should have a decent sprint, so why not?

NOEMI RUEGG -- Has been a bit quiet since starting the season with a win and runners-up at the trofeo races in Spain, but had two nice top 10s in stages in Burgos a month ago, so, again, without any pure sprinters here, she could definitely factor in the finale.

ELISE CHABBEY -- The break won today, I think she will at least give it a shot.

Prediction

Mischa Bredewold to break the tape after a leadout from race leader Vollering
